Gerald Rosenfeld

Faculty Director
Distinguished Scholar in Residence and Senior Lecturer; Co-Director, Leadership Program on Law and Business

Gerald Rosenfeld is advisor to the CEO and vice chairman of Investment Banking at Lazard Ltd. He has been an investment banker for over 30 years, working at Salomon Brothers (1979-1988), Bankers Trust Company (1988-1992), Lazard Freres (1992-1998) and Rothschild (2000-2011), before rejoining Lazard in 2011. Prior to investment banking, Dr. Rosenfeld was a consultant at McKinsey & Co. (1976-1979.) In his investment banking career, Dr. Rosenfeld has worked primarily in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Restructuring, including representing General Motors, Chrysler, ITT Corporation, Tenneco, Lotus, TRW, Thermo-Electron, United Airlines, TWA, and US Airways, among many others. Dr. Rosenfeld has served on several public Boards of Directors and is currently a director of CIT Group and executive director of Continental Grain Co. Full Bio >

Erin O’Brien

Executive Director

A strong believer in higher education as transformative force for good, Erin leads the Institute for Executive Education at NYU School of Law.  In this role, Erin spearheads the development of the creation of new multidisciplinary programs and international collaborations.  Erin serves on several school-wide committees at NYU in the areas of strategic planning, online learning, executive education, and new dean searches.

Erin serves as the executive director for two Masters of Science programs, MS in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy and the MS in Health Law and Strategy.

Before coming to NYU Law to be the founding executive director of the Institute of Executive Education, Erin O’Brien served as associate dean of Global Degree Programs and Executive Education at NYU Stern School of Business. Over the course of a decade, O’Brien led the development of several new blended-learning programs (online and in-person) including the top-ranked TRIUM Global Executive MBA Program, Masters’ programs in Business Analytics, Risk Management, and Global Finance, and the NYU Stern Advanced Management Program. O’Brien has extensive international experience working in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Megan O’Sullivan

Director
Megan O’Sullivan joined NYU Law after previously serving as the Associate Director of Executive Education on the Executive Programs team at the NYU Stern School of Business. Before moving into higher education, she worked in several positions across corporate human resources, learning and development, and customer service at NBCUniversal and L’Oréal USA. O’Sullivan graduated with a BA in Communications and Mass Media from Fairfield University, and with her master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

Jinnie Yoon Kim

Director, Master of Science in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy
Prior to joining NYU Law, Jinnie Yoon Kim served as the Assistant Director of Global Executive Education at NYU Stern School of Business. A graduate of NYU Stern with a BS in Marketing and International Business, Kim held various roles in operations, program management, admissions, and marketing for NYU Stern.

NYU School of Law’s Institute for Executive Education invites applications for the position of Special Projects Coordinator.

  

The Special Projects Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of a range of initiatives within the Institute for Executive Education. Ideal for a detail-oriented person with at least 3 years of professional experience, this position requires strong organizational, project management, and data-handling skills. The Coordinator will work cross-functionally to support academic operations, custom program delivery, and operational improvements—helping to enhance both the internal efficiency and external impact of the Institute.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a mission-driven, dynamic environment while developing skills across various areas of program and event operations, business analytics, and student and faculty support. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Project Coordination & Administrative Support
    • Organize and support internal special projects by scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and tracking tasks
    • Draft clear and professional correspondence, presentations, and documentation
    • Assist with tracking progress and reporting on initiatives across academic and executive programming
  • Academic and Program Operations
    • Prepare and review academic materials for students and faculty; ensure accurate documentation and version control
    • Monitor faculty teaching hours and maintain compliance-related records
    • Manage logistics for live and virtual events, working closely with internal teams and external vendors
  • Data & Reporting
    • Administer student feedback surveys; clean, analyze, and summarize data for leadership use
    • Assist in creating data dashboards or reporting materials that inform continuous improvement efforts
  • Custom and Client Program Support
    • Support the execution of custom programs, including managing timelines, deliverables, and materials
    • Help prepare presentations and program outlines for potential client engagements
  • Inventory and Vendor Management
    • Coordinate procurement and tracking of materials for programs, including guest speaker gifts and classroom supplies
    • Maintain inventory systems and liaise with vendors as needed

Qualifications

Required background

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in project coordination or a similar role
  • Experience with project management; results-driven and strong sense of ownership, see tasks and projects through to completion
  • Excellent judgment and professionalism
  • High levels of attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written, in English), and organizational skills 
  • Must be a team player with a willingness and ability to work with multiple groups
  • Able to work in person in our New York City office
  • Technical Proficiency: 
    • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) programs
    • CRM programs (i.e. Salesforce)

Preferred background

  • Track record of implementing operational efficiencies
  • Interest in learning and development
  • Background in higher education helpful but not required
